Dear Customers, happy Dragon Boat Festival. 5th May on the Lunar Calendar is celebrated as a national holiday in a lot of Asian countries. This year, the date fell on 6th June on the western calendar.
The reasons for celebration differs, some say this is a special day for the dragon worshipers of the ancient times while others say it's a memorial day for the death of the poet Qu Yuan, who threw himself into the Mekong river when his country was conquered.
The poet is so well loved that upon his death, the people throw rice dumplings into the river so the fish would eat their offerings instead of gobbling up the poet's body. Since Qu Yuan's body has probably been decomposed by now, people keep the rice dumplings for themselves.
Everyone in Play-Asia.com will enjoy the long weekend, on Tuesday 7th June, we will be back to ship out the orders accumulated.
